My name is Kevin McBride. I grew up in northeast Alabama, earned a business degree at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and lived in Atlanta, GA for a few years until I moved to the Washington, DC metro area. I started my career at GE and worked at 3M Oral Care before joining Nobel Biocare almost four years ago.

I am a Colombian with deep dentistry roots. In honor of Latin+ Heritage Month, today I would like to share my story, and why I belong at Envista.

I am the son of Cuban immigrants. My parents traveled from Cuba’s Mariel Harbor to the United States in 1980. They left everything behind as Cuban exiles and began a new life in their mid-thirties with nothing although grateful to have freedom. The youngest of 4 kids, I was born in Miami, FL and grew up in humble beginnings.

Being Latin can mean so many different things! Being Latin encompasses many diverse countries and people. Our unique cultures come together through one common theme, una voz! The “Latino Experience” is unique to each individual. Everyone has a story… My name is Veronica Espinoza, and I am proud to be a Chicana!

My name is Juan R. Arbona, and I am the Chief Compliance Officer for Envista based in Brea, California. I was born and raised in Puerto Rico, thus represent a very proud but narrow slice of the greater Latino-X population. As Puerto Rican, I was born a U.S. citizen and did not experience the difficulties of immigration which many others of the Latin community must deal with.
